Sebring 2017 candid snaps and vids | pitlane perspective

What a place and what a race!

I said at the top of the Fox Sports show that "Fans come for the race and stay for the party!" and I stand by that. In fact I resemble that remark!

The Sebring 12 hours is amazing - crazy - intense and fast and furious and that is just the infield. I love this race in my role as one of the pitlane talent for IMSA on the broadcast as it gives me the chance to experience all that makes our sportscar world the hottest ticket in town right now!

Anyway-  you know how the race went - top guys won in amazing cars and (almost) everyone went home feeling that the weekend was a success. For sure that was the feeling from the fans who were treated to a superb display of motorsport while enjoying beautiful weather. The fact that most of them were in a coma come Saturday morning race day was besides the point. It was probably THE point of being at Sebring. It's a generational experience, passed down from father to son during which time travel to college levels of bad behaviour are appreciated.

Hopefully you have a chance to check out the video I put together from my unique viewpoint in pitlane during the race these are just a few photos I took on my way round over the weekend! Enjoy!

I picked up a motorhome and drove to the track. Feeling very content.

As soon as I got to the track I went to shoot this very funny segment for the main show with Joey Hand and Dirk Muller in the Ganassi paddock in a Lego Building shoot off!

Amazing the likeness.............:)

When they said my motorhome spot  was close to the track I didn't know that this would be the view / alarm clock when the cars started up at 8am!

Not long after I had my annual reunion with the 'Cows' that always make an appearance at Sebring (they are apparently sensible intelligent and successful people outside of this weekend). So they tell me.

This lot have no excuse.............

And my main man - Brett Ramker - working pitlane with his camera. Check out his amazing work at IMSA.com

Bit of a selfie here - very proud of my new OMP race sit. Thanks guys for making me look racey not retired..:)

The view of the track  - quiet at last  - just as sunset hit on the evening before the big race!

I always forget when I am supposed to be on air so I stole this photo from my producers notebook!

Found two of my favorite people to hang with in Pitlane just before the race. Alan McNish and Shannon! (the guy in the yellow isn't with us...)

One of the coolest moments was getting my Dad and brother Sebastian into the show from behind pitman!

If you haven't watched already - this was a maybe world first perspective of our life in the pitlane. It was night time at Sebring and I take you for a walk!
